Amy Pieters van cyclingteam Boels-Dolmans heeft op de EK wielrennen in Alkmaar de wegwedstrijd gewonnen.
De renster van het Limburgse team won de sprint in de kopgroep. Ze liet de Italiaanse Elena Cecchini en de Duitse Lisa Klein achter zich.
De Europese titel is voor de 28-jarige Pieters de eerste grote prijs in haar carrière.
